Orthopaedic Surgeon

 

Yvonne’s keen interest in orthopaedic surgery developed while working in rural mixed practice in the deep south after graduating from Massey University in 2005.

She has spent the last five years further enhancing her knowledge in the field of surgery by completing a Master of Veterinary Medicine (MVM) and more recently, gaining membership of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in the surgery chapter (MANZCVS).
 

Yvonne is passionate about the wellbeing of her patients and has a special interest in pain management - which was the topic of her project undertaken while on placement at Animal Orthopaedics in Christchurch as part of her MVM qualification.
 

Outside of work, Yvonne is an outdoor enthusiast and shares many adventures with her husband Iain. However, she equally enjoys staying at home with their three cats—Winston, Tabitha, and Jake—life’s perfect balance!
