Amazing surgeon, nursing and admin team

"I feel very lucky to have access to such a wonderful and brilliant team. On top of the amazing surgeon, nursing and administrative team, they also make sure to look after you too. On the day of my dog's surgery, they kept on providing updates and pictures which I am so grateful for. It's truly wraparound care, as the surgical package also contains physio for best outcome and long-term success, which has really benefited us. Thank you so much!” Joanna Tang

A calm, kind environment

“The team blend specialist skill and expertise with friendliness and compassion, we were kept informed and felt cared for throughout the process of mending our cat's broken leg. Post-care support was fantastic when needed (by phone), and communications with our local vet were prompt and thorough. They have created a calm, kind environment which is easy to relax in. Crumpet must have enjoyed the experience as he hops into his travel cage to rest, I can only assume he associates it with good memories! His leg healed beautifully and he is enjoying full involvement in life again. Thanks team!” Rachel Nankivell

Highest calibre treatment of our dog

“Our pup required two rounds of TPLO surgery in a short timespan, so we’ve been to AOW a lot over the past few months. The team is incredible! Extremely knowledgeable, friendly, competent and approachable. The facilities are great. The treatment our dog got was of the highest calibre. She’s almost fully recovered now and we’ll be forever grateful to Yvonne and Stuart and the entire team for their work treating her cruciate ligaments.” Danielle Machado

Good to have a fixed cost

“We are incredibly fortunate to have this amazing team on the Kapiti Coast.  Stella required a cruciate ligament repair and the experience was nothing short of exceptional.  A stressful time was minimised with the help of this skilled but extremely compassionate team.  A big thing for me is the management of pain through the process and this was ensured.  The caring approach and patience with all the questions was so appreciated. Stella was comfortable in the environment and the follow up process was extremely reassuring.  It was good to have a fixed cost so I knew exactly what I needed to pay and there were no hidden expenses.  The cost was fair for the amazing service received and the ratio of professional staff to the number of surgeries done each day.  I was confident that Stella was being taken care of throughout her journey.  A massive thank you to each of the team for the fabulous job they did and the compassion and care they showed not only to Stella but also to me!” Amanda Pybus

A positive experience throughout with zero stress

We’re very particular about who we trust with our pets, and we can be quite critical about services if they don’t cut the mustard. We don’t often give perfect scores, but Animal Orthopaedics Wellington thoroughly deserves nothing less than 5 stars! (In fact, if we could give 6, we would!) It’s obvious that Stuart & all the dedicated team at Animal Orthopaedics genuinely care about the pets they treat. They maintain impeccably high standards every step of the way, from start to finish. Our little Spitz dog, Pipi, needed a pretty significant op, and she came out of it very successfully. Even her morale when she came home (and in the days that followed) was much better than expected, and she’s a bit of an anxious dog by nature! Pipi’s been healing well and is making impressive strides with her post op physiotherapy via treatment partner, Black Dog, in Plimmerton, where the level of knowledge and care provided by Helen & Team has likewise been superb! We’re delighted with the first rate surgical and post op rehab services Pipi’s benefited from so far, and also grateful to the Nurses at Animal Orthopaedics for all the cuddles and other supportive care they provided to Pipi, both pre and post op. It’s been a positive experience throughout with zero stress. We felt 100% relaxed, calm and confident about Pipi’s ortho surgery. Total peace of mind… Animal Orthopaedics Wellington are just that good! Our utmost thanks go out to the AO Team, and we likewise gratefully acknowledge Black Dog Physiotherapy, and also our trusted Vet: Dr Nick Pallin, at Central Vet Hospital, for his part in Pipi’s care process. Pipi’s future couldn’t be brighter now, thanks to you guys! Thanks Team! 10/ 10. All our best wishes, Prue & Stan, Ellen, and our wee star patient Pipi xo
