RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Orthopaedics

 

Stuart graduated from Edinburgh in 1991 and completed the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Certificate in Small Animal Orthopaedics in 1995 while in practice in the northeast of England. He then moved back to Scotland to expand a practice in Dundee. Over the following 27 years, this practice grew from eight vets to a 30-vet hospital-based practice with a busy referral orthopaedic caseload.

Stuart has completed extensive postgraduate training in orthopaedics, both in the UK and USA/Europe. His particular interests include joint surgery, fractures and developmental conditions in younger patients.

Stuart relishes the prospect of enjoying everything New Zealand offers and is looking forward to exploring the country. Outside of work, he loves running in nature with his two black labs Rita and Jon Snow, cycling, climbing and skiing.
